We decided this place is best for a late reservation; the lights dim and the restaurant really shines in the evening.
A true gem. Service could've been better this time around, but looking forward to taking my mom here for her birthday.

Cute, cute, cute. My friend and I came here to chit chat, made a reservation at 8:45pm on a Saturday. The waitstaff was very friendly. Our waiter was nice, too, but seemed a bit rushed given it was so late.
We ordered
- wine (a cab and a sauv. blanc),
- the pimentos piquillos (2 roasted red peppers -- light and crispy on the outside, mushy and flavorful on the inside)
- the ahi tuna main plate (delish! and with fava beans and olives!)
- a tarte-like dessert with coulis.
Flavor and portions were just right. The bread and olive oil dip were fab -- and they gave us seconds w/o evening asking!
Would def. come back again. Seating was a bit tight, but that's fine.
Perfect dinner for a waning summer evening, to catch up with a close friend or sig. other. Would def. come back again.
I saw the waiters coming out with the bowl of mussels frequently (either Nicoise or Provencale).. def. ordering that next time, and perhaps for dessert the creme brulee or panna cotta.

I ordered the Deluxe Sashimi Dinner and a Super Sam's handroll. Sashimi was fresh and I got a nice spread. My friends ordered lots of handrolls and other sushi rolls. A nice plus is their variety. Some restaurants, like Sushi Tomi in Mtn View, do a nice job of a couple things (sashimi & nigiris). This place does a nice job of a lot of different things. The back of their menu is a la cart which is great. Just pick and choose and you'll have a yummy spread in no time.
Service was also friendly and fast.
I would come back.

Definitely get a spot on the deck. We ordered the mussels with andouille sausages (http://www.yelp.com/bi...), half a dozen raw oysters, fried calamari, and glass of red wine.
They were all good, and fresh. I particularly liked the mussels, cooked just right in a delicious broth.
Service was friendly. We had a waitress with a slight accent. Put a nice touch to our trip to Stinson :)

He relocated once a few years back and I had some serious issues trying to find a better hairstylist (not to mention trying to recoup from bad haircuts). Thank goodness I found him again!
Make sure to call in advance b/c he's usually pretty busy. Oh, one thing though, he doesn't speak English too well.. but that hasn't stopped any of my non-Chinese speaking friends from going and getting fabulous cuts.
Other than Henry, Focus Beauty is your typical Asian hair-salon-in-a-strip-mall with oddly dressed hairstylists.

I had breakfast with my fam here today. Without a doubt the popovers were great, but the breakfast was blah. Eggs San Francisco was a great idea -- who would've thought of dungeness crabs with melting eggs? But it was bland! And my dad found the remnants of a stainless steel sponge in his omelette.. disturbing (though the manager did come to apologize and pulled that from our tab). But our experience was kind of spoiled from the start.. The hostess had a face of steel and was not nice about taking down a table of four. And the reason was because.. I asked nicely...? Is it really that hard to reciprocate friendliness? Great way to start the experience, huh? If there's one thing that ruins dining for me, it's bad service. That even tops finding steel in the eggs!
If you go, go for the views, and lower your expectations.

Service was friendly and fast for brunch that Saturday. I was a fan of their smoked salmon with hollandaise sauce and melting eggs. It was so good I wanna come back.
Their Blushing Orange Dream shake was quite weird, though... stick with the OJ!

The starter watermelon & beet salad was quite good, but their chicken under a brick was far from fantastic. After watching Jacques Pepin cook chicken with a brick on top when I was younger, I was expecting real flatness. Our chicken had elevation.. so it wasn't exciting.
The peppermint chocolate cake was good, but not exciting, either.
I wasn't wowed. Perhaps I should've just ordered more dutch mules!

I've always enjoyed their mexican hot chocolate, and have been wanting to try their waffle.
Met up with a good friend here today. I've always had good meetups here.
Outdoor area could be a bit cleaner, though.

i came here on a thursday evening for a special b-day and had a good time in their outside space. gotta say that the quality of the food was not up to par with the atmosphere.
we had oysters, beef carpaccio (fatty), carrot soup, lavender pork, and the duck breasts. also got the pot de creme. couldn't really pinpoint a standout.. :(
come here for the atmosphere (request to sit outside), but lower your expectations for the food.
